Dillon Dam Brewery & Snow Tubing!
This past weekend we had some much needed mindless fun.
We ventured out west (where else would we go)
I recently bought a little notebook called "The Flight Plan". It is made specifically for beer flights/samplings at breweries. Obviously I wanted to start filling it out, so our first stop on this adventure, we found ourselves at the Dillon Dam Brewery.
We ordered our first sampler of beers, (they only cost $1.50 for a 4oz glass..) so we tried all 11 of them! (There beer list is here) Our favorite one was their "Here's Your Dam IPA"
**Pro tip- When sampling beers for a Flight Plan...there is a reason there is only 4 spots..after we had like 4 we couldn't really taste differences in them..haha...

We also ordered their Macho Nachos, chicken fajita style.
In case you were wondering, they were dam good.
After that, we decided to head to Frisco for some snow tubing at their Adventure Park!
I'm not entirely sure why, but I was kind of skeptical about doing this...
There is a "magic carpet" that takes you to the top of the hill...it's pretty much a conveyor belt you stand on with your tube and go up the hill. I'm not even going to lie..being a little buzzed this thing seemed pretty dodgy at first. But after a few times down it wasn't so bad!
Zac and I went down together every time..because yep. I was kind of a chicken! There was hills you go over, and gain air..and I watched so many people (adults) go down the hill solo and they ended up crashing..and I just didn't want to do that! To go down together, we held each others leash to our tubes and went! Zac went down by himself the last time..and got way too much spinning down the hill...he was pretty pale from being so dizzy! :P (Just confirmed why I didn't want to go solo)
(you cant really tell...but at the very top of the hill Zac is coming down sideways on his tube)
It was so very nice being able to feel like a kid again, not think about life, work, stressors..etc...if only for 1 hour. We literally laughed all the way down. It was so awesome. :)
And now here are some of the views from Frisco..
I'm going to live here.
And if you ever find yourself in Dillon, check out the Dam Brewery.
If you're in Frisco during the winter, go snow tubing!
