February in Review
February always seemed like a pointless month. From having only 28 days, to just another month of winter, early evenings and cold. But this February has been so different.
For starters, in Colorado it has felt like Spring. We've been in the mid 60's most of this month, with a handful of days hitting 70. (In the winter. In Colorado.)
And it's a leap year, so we had an extra day!
And, my husband and I purchased our first home!
A 1989 Bluebird School Bus that we are converting into a Tiny House!
See the beginning HERE.
I've been trying to be more positive this month, being aware of my feelings, why I am having those feelings, and being present in them. After a very long January of feeling lost, hopeless and pretty down on myself, I decided February needed to be a month that I focused on my mental health. Which I did, and I can tell you it did wonders for my soul. While I didn't focus too hard on what I was eating, (I ate all the heart shaped Reese's) I did make sure I wasn't being ridiculous with the food or amounts I ate.
I have learned patience this month...which I know will be an ongoing lesson for the rest of my life. I am not a patient person, nor have I ever been. But I did learn this month that things happen at the right time. Maybe not the timing we think is right, but timing that is right for the paths of our lives.
I learned that I can spend my time more wisely, before and after work.
Having a full time real job takes up a majority of my day, but blogging and YouTube are also full time jobs. A goal I have for March is to prioritize that time, so I don't procrastinate on my posts and videos! (also leading me to put off emails, research and all the other fun things that go into this business...leaving me with 23 video clips to edit, 100's of emails to go through and not even wanting to film)
In March, I am going to put more focus on my physical health. With the warmer weather, we will be able to get out and go for more walks. I will be paying closer attention (again) to what I put into my body, and not eating all the peanut butter cups.
I have a goal to vlog more, so we can have documentation later on in our lives of this school bus adventure we are on!
How was your month of February? How have your goals changed from the beginning of the month to now? How have YOU changed?
