That Bus Life
Time flies when you're having fun is no understatement.
When I was little, I never understood why grown ups would say things like "There aren't enough hours in a day"... But now I do.
We figured we would be done with the bus by now, that everything would look like a lovely Pinterest picture and we would have running water, a shower, functional toilet, I'd be making smoothies, colorful lunches and my husband and I would cook dinner together; etc. Or something like that.
Well, life happened. Zac ended up with Influenza, which had him laid up for about a week. Even after that, he still was physically weak for the next week or so, as Influenza will do to your body. Both of us working full time jobs that can be mentally/physically exhausting and time consuming.
Then some issues with our house and our landlord and BOOM it was time to move.
Thursday, April 28th we started packing our stuff to move it either on to the bus, and packing things into plastic 18 Gallon tubs to be moved to our 10x10 storage unit. We enlisted our neighbor to come help move some furniture and pack some things into the moving truck. By 7:00 P.M. we moved the first load to Uncle Bob's Storage. After 9:00 P.M. we were unable to access the unit, so we unloaded and headed back to the house to load the truck, sleep and move the rest in the morning.
Friday, 4:30 A.M. we were back up and heading to Uncle Bob's again. After dropping off the truck, we headed back to the house to finish loading the bus and begin cleaning for the checkout/walk through the next day with our landlord. I took the morning off work to help finish everything, and went in after lunch to make sure I was there for a couple of patients needing physicals..and I was completely exhausted. I may or may not have had 60(?) oz of Red Bull that day. (I DO NOT recommend, btw) Friday night everything was out of the house and we moved the bus.
Saturday morning we scrubbed the house till the grout was coming off the wall of the bathroom, then had our check out. After all the crap our landlord put us through, we were so ready to be done. After that, we headed back to the bus after stopping for a 6 pack.
We hadn't gone through as much of our stuff as we would have liked, and ended up taking more with us to the bus than planned due to taking more to storage than planned. But isn't that life? It's advice I've even given to my cousin... You can plan all you want. You can plan every detail of every second of everything that's going to happen and something will still be out of your control. It never fails. That's life. Zac (being a Virgo) sets standards very high for himself. It upset him to be out for a week. But he got so much more done on the bus than he can see. He got so much done in 3 months.
Are we done with the bus? No. Is it livable? For a lot of people, that answer would be no. For us, it feels like home. That's a wonderful feeling to have after 2 years. For us, it's like camping (no running water, etc) but with more shelter. We have a camping stove, and if you follow me on Instagram you know that we got memberships to Planet Fitness to shower. We have a cooler that I got from work from a vaccine shipment that holds ice and keeps it from melting for far longer than I have ever seen a plastic cooler do. Honestly, we have everything we need for our running water... we have the tanks, tubes, everything to hold 'em under the bus...it just always ends up being crappy weather Zac goes to put them up!
(P.S. Make sure you follow the bus progress and adventures on Instagram! Email Us!)
It's not ideal right now, but it doesn't suck either. I'm happy, I'm safe, clean, and living alone with my husband for the first time ever. I also bought a puppy. What?! Yep. I got myself a 5 week old Chiweenie puppy that I named Zoe!
And that brings us to now.
I did vlog during this whole process, and even though I haven't posted much (on my main YouTube and here) I do have Moving Vlogs for you! (check out MarcironiAdventures for those)
And now that my brain doesn't feel like a boat floating in the fog on a river of Red Bull I will start filming for my Main Channel (let me know if you have any requests!) and I will see you all here next week! (So Exciting!)

(looking from the drivers seat to the back, and ZigZag, because he's here too and still so cute!)
