Oh How Time Flies!

Its been a few months since I last posted anything, and it feels like FOREVER! 

So, lets catch up!
For starters, I had a baby!

This is my sweet baby!
Long story short (for now), I had to be induced with him. After a very long, difficult and stressful labor Mr Orin finally entered the world 11 days after his due date on July 31st, 2017.

He is absolutely adorable, and I am so in love with him! 


I will have his birth story and a full update on him (finally) in the next week or so, so stay tuned for that!

Next, we moved to the Western Slope of Colorado!

This is something we wanted to do since the first time Zac and I visited this side of our state. That was around 3 years ago! We had planned on moving here in the bus after our trip to the East Coast...but as you know I got pregnant and we ended up back in Denver after our trip.

Denver has changed a lot. 
There are so many people there now, so so much traffic - it takes an hour to get anywhere - people are not nice there anymore, there's a pollution cloud...its just not the same anymore and not where we want to raise our child.

Its definitely a bittersweet feeling moving here. I am so excited to live so close to mountains, beautiful red rocks, The Monument, everything. But I also miss my family, and my friends! (I'm talking to you, Mom & Megan!)

Grand Junction has a small town feel, which I love and is something I had been missing, but it also has all the amenities that I would want near me! For example, there's a Target within walking distance from me. There's a decent mall, plenty of chain restaurants and a ton of local ones I am so excited to check  out! There's even a few Taco Bells and Starbucks!

I hadn't been posting much on my social media or YouTube (that's a whole other story) because I was trying to figure Mom life out, then the move.. its been a process! I do plan on posting more regularly now that we have a somewhat permanent situation and Mr Baby and I are somewhat on a schedule now! Btw that is crazy considering he's only almost 3 months old...but he wakes up the same times every night and in the morning, eats and naps around the same times every day so...I consider myself blessed to have such a wonderful baby!

When I Said Exciting Things Were Coming...

  Did I mention a cross country move?! Cause we did that.  From the desert, to the ocean. If you followed along with my Instagram or Facebook, then you somewhat know of the challenge it was to get here. (In summary, the Western Slope Curse is a very real thing, lol.) I could give you a day-by-day rundown of what has happened since we arrived, but I will save that for another, better post. In the meantime, just know that things are not at all what we were told  they would be. Its been a lot of feeling like we have been 100% in survival mode.  Aside from the beauty and amazing people here in North Carolina. Oh, hi!

  WELL HELLO THERE! Its only been 11 months since I last posted, haha. (12*)  When I tell you A LOT has happened... For starters, let me introduce you to Waylon!  He was my first home-birth, just before Easter, and WOW what an experience!  The last couple of posts were - I'm pregnant! We went to a BBQ restaurant! I'm pregnant again! lol. He is an awesome little boy. It took him about a month, but he is finally enjoying being a big brother! Maybe this is going to sound like a Christmas letter... but hey, we are 10 days out so why not?! (okay, so it's now January. Where did December go?) Miss Annabell was born on the Autumn Equinox, into Zac's arms. She has been the sweetest addition to our family.  Orin and Kalia have been the best biggest siblings, and have (for the most part) enjoyed stepping into these roles. Crystal Mill & Slow Groovin BBQ in Marble, CO

  We had decided to take a late summer adventure to Marble, Colorado.  Our intention was to do some hiking, eat some BBQ and see the Crystal Mill, and well... Fried okra and onion rings. Pulled pork sandwich. A side of baked beans. Pulled pork "Hillybilly Nachos" Slow Groovin' BBQ has been around since 2010. They are open seasonally, from May 1st until October 31st. 11am-9pm daily Here is their full menu:  (*Note, the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies were SO good. We took them to-go so we could continue our adventure to the Crystal Mill!)   Highly reccommend stopping here if you are ever near Marble, and especially if you are adventuring to the Crystal Mill!
