Third Time's a Charm

I would like to say that I really thought I would do better this time, in not waiting so long to announce and talk about this on my blog...

But here I am in the 3rd trimester of my 3rd pregnancy haha.

I like to say that this pregnancy has felt like a combinitaion of the other two. 

In the first trimester, I was naseous but not horribly sick. The second trimester has been a mental struggle. It is difficult to even write that, because it sucks to admit. But it has made it difficult to show up where and how I want to. Not like, to the grocery store (although being pregnant, toting a 4.5 year old and almost 3 year old is not always fun there haha) but showing up for myself, or other things I have committed to, or want to commit to. 

It is something I am working on, while also keeping the knowledge that I only have 12 more weeks of feeling like this before little Mr will be here.


Little Mr, because we are having another boy! I would share our gender reveal video... but we tried Coke an Mentos with food color and it turned green, lol. Zac did make a glitter bomb...but it failed. We are actually 3/3 for gender reveal failures with our kids. (Balloons didn't float out right, pink glitter bomb didn't go as planned...)


I have a lot of things I want to post, and I am definitely feeling 3rd trimester energy or nesting or whatever it is in my mind wanting my shit to be together now if not sooner. So hopefully things will be somewhat easier!

I haven't really had any cravings except for brownies, and Spicy Chick-Fil-A sandwiches recently. Topo Chico is always good. I have heartburn but it is NOTHING like the reflux I experienced with Kalia. 

We had gotten sick as a family back in October, (yes with THE sickness) which made me lose some weight, but nothing to worry about!

  We had decided to take a late summer adventure to Marble, Colorado.  Our intention was to do some hiking, eat some BBQ and see the Crystal Mill, and well... Fried okra and onion rings. Pulled pork sandwich. A side of baked beans. Pulled pork "Hillybilly Nachos" Slow Groovin' BBQ has been around since 2010. Oh, hi!

  WELL HELLO THERE! Its only been 11 months since I last posted, haha. (12*)  When I tell you A LOT has happened... For starters, let me introduce you to Waylon!  He was my first home-birth, just before Easter, and WOW what an experience!  The last couple of posts were - I'm pregnant! We went to a BBQ restaurant! I'm pregnant again! lol. He is an awesome little boy. It took him about a month, but he is finally enjoying being a big brother! Maybe this is going to sound like a Christmas letter... but hey, we are 10 days out so why not?! (okay, so it's now January. Where did December go?) Miss Annabell was born on the Autumn Equinox, into Zac's arms. She has been the sweetest addition to our family.  Orin and Kalia have been the best biggest siblings, and have (for the most part) enjoyed stepping into these roles. Mica Mine Trail and Ladder Canyon

View From Inside the Mica Mine The first time we did this hike, it was Winter in February. That was a much different hike than doing it in the Spring! We decided to go back this time with both kiddos because it is a fairly easy trail. Climb Down at the Beginning, Back Up at the End This trail is in Bangs Canyon. You start off by climbing down a little cavern. If you don't go past the mine at the end, I would say that this is the most difficult part of this trail. You also have to climb back up this at the end. However, there are very noticible steps/paths and some handholds so you should be fine. Once you get down that, you come to the first and only fork. You will go right, staying on the trail towards the Mica Mine.  Very Dog and Kid Friendly! I would say most of the trail looks like the above picture.
