National Pink Day!!

It's National Pink Day!!

I am celebrating by sharing some of my favorite pink products from Mary Kay and Damsel in Defense!

When you think of Mary Kay, you probably think of the color pink. Why? Because the product packaging started out (and mostly still is!) pink, because back in the 60s, bathrooms tended to be a pink color. Even the toilets! Mary Kay wanted the products to match, and look nice sitting on your counter. (Pro tip: if your skincare is sitting on the counter where you can see it, you are more likely to regularly use it!)

First up, we have this Sheer Illusion Lipgloss. It's not super pink, but is great to add on top of your favorite lipstick or wear by itself!

Next, we have one of my favorite blushes. This is the Spark Change blush stick. It comes in 2 colors, this one and a peachy one. Spark Change (this one) is nice, because it is really pigmented, meaning a little bit goes a long way. Bonus of this one, a portion of the proceeds goes to the Mary Kay Ash Foundation. That matters, because it helps women who have survived domestic abuse, cancer specific to women, and the research to prevent both of those things.

These are one of my favorite products! The Hydrogel Eye Patches. They are SO sparkly, just opening the lid brings me joy. You see everyone wearing eye patches nowadays, so why not have them bring you joy and skin benefits?!

Our lipsticks feel so good going on, and they feel good being on, too. They don't dry out your lips or make them feel weird. This one is in the color Trademark Pink.

Next up, we have our Shimmer Eyeshadow Sticks. These are great if you need a quick makeup look, or want to add some quick sparkle to your eye look. They come in 5 color options, including this one which is Pink Prisms.

On to the skincare (in pink packaging!) This is one of the best sets you can get (in my opinion). I actually use each of these products. The face wash, sunscreen, night recovery, eye cream and moisturizer on a daily basis. I've been using them for 4 months now, and am honestly amazed at how my skin has changed for the better. The last 2 products in this set, are the Microdermabrasion Refine and the Timewise Pore minimizer. The Pore minimizer can be used daily, the microdermabrasion only weekly. This helps even out your skin texture and get dead skin cells off. You can get all of these products individually, but the sets tend to be a better deal. The first 5 products (when used daily) will last you 2-3 months!

(I have a goal this month to sell 2 of these sets!)

On to some Safety Tools! Because protecting our skin is definitely a priority, but your safety should be a priority, too. I mean, what skin do you have to protect if something happens to you?!

First up, our stun devices. This one is the To Be Clear. It is small, but powerful.

This one (such a pretty color, also comes in a bundle!) is my favorite, because it has a disable pin. Meaning, when used correctly, if someone tries to get it out of your hand in an altercation, the pin will pop out of the back and the stun function wont work. It cant be used against you! It also prevents it from going off in your bag or a child pushing the button.

Pepper Sprays! Not always my first line of defense ( I live in Oklahoma, where the wind comes sweeping down the plains, haha.) But I always have one on me. Damsel in Defense's pepper sprays (all of them) have UV dye in them, so that your attacker can be easily identified. They can't wash it off, either. If you are worried about the wind though, we also offer a gel pepper spray!

This particular case for the pepper spray has the same disable pin as the stun device, so it can't be used against you. This one also has Shield Technology, which means there is a button on it that when pressed (you don't even have to use the spray!) will send an alert to your assigned emergency contacts that you need help, along with your location. These are on a special for June and July 2026 of buy one, get one free! That is a great deal if you have daughters, friends, or want to make sure you have one at home and one at the office, or wherever!

Next we have two more basic pepper sprays. A sparkly, blinged out one, (Pepper Slay) and one in a cute wrap. All of the pepper sprays can (and should be yearly, regardless of usage) replaced, so you don't have to buy a whole new setup. Just a new spray, pop it in and you're good to go.

Finally we have our striking tools. We offer 2 sizes, the regular Sock it Slim and the mini. The difference is, the regular is 5.5" and the mini is 4.5".

I honestly never leave the house without a pepper spray, stun device and striking tool. Having multiple options is key, because you never know what the situation is going to call for. All of these products are non-lethal, and will grant you time to get away and get help. If you can't decide on which one you want, get the bundle!

Bonus product! And the last thing I am going to share for National Pink Day... Daily Hype. If you follow me on Instagram, you probably have heard me talk about this drink. A lot. Since 2021. Its pink, which is why I am sharing it today. It is watermelon flavored, (think watermelon bubblegum) and provides 100mg of natural caffeine from green coffee beans. Vitamins B12, B5, B1, B3 and Vitamin C give you energy and focus, without jitters or a crash. Its "clean energy that works with your body, not against it." Available in a 30 day supply canister or 15 on the go sticks.

Enjoy your National Pink Day!
If you made it this far, you are awesome, and now know that I am offering free shipping on my Mary Kay website for orders $50 or more!
